Innovacom becomes equity partner of Avicenna.ai, specialized in the detection of emergency pathologies

Paris, February 6th  – Innovacom, a pioneer in innovation venture capital in France, acquires a stake in the capital of the company Avicenna.ai through its fund technocom3. Avicennai.ai is a start-up specialized in the development of software dedicated to helping to the diagnosis of emergency pathologies by radiologists.

Specialist in supporting early-stage start-ups and breakthrough innovations at strong technological dimension, Innovacom announced an investment in the first-round funding of the young innovative company Avicenna.ai. This capital increase of 2.7 million euros with the support of CEMAG Invest will allow to Avicenna.ai to accelerate the development of its software solutions dedicated to the detection of emergency pathologies on sectional images from scanners. After intensive research studies, these high-performance tools are now ready for daily clinical applications.

Founded in 2018 by Cyril DI GRANDI, co-founder of Olea Medical, and the American radiologist Peter CHANG, Co-Director of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Applied to Medicine from the University of Irvine, Avicenna.ai’s ambition is to become one of the leaders of the detection of emergency injuries, such as stroke, heart attack, hemorrhages, aneurysm ruptures or abdominal pain.
These new solutions provide radiologists with a faster and more reliable interpretation capability to any time of the day or night. Avicenna.ai will thus allow a greater number of patients to access innovative, targeted and less invasive treatments.
