Press Release
Paris, July 9th, 2019 – Innovacom, a venture capital pioneer in France, announces the first closing of its technocom3 seed capital fund with the initial support of renowned financial and corporate investors, the National Seed Fund 2, managed by Bpifrance as part of the Future Investment Program, Cemag Invest, Seb Alliance, SITA and Soitec. Innovacom intends to expand, by the end of the year, its round table of investors to provide technocom3 with a total investment capacity of 60 million euros.
With this 10th vintage, Innovacom will support the best innovations from the major French and European research centers and from innovative companies. Over the next five years, the technocom3 seed fund will select around twenty companies developing projects with a high technological and scientific content in various sectoral applications (materials, components, hardware, software, or digital services). The investment horizon for technocom3 is 10 years.
With Bpifrance’s presence through the National Seed Fund 2* and the support of its pool of private investors, Innovacom will rely on a variety of industrial and technological expertise to the benefit of its investment strategy. This new vintage of funds devotes years of accumulated experience of Innovacom and reflects the investment philosophy that the management team (Vincent Deltrieu, Jérôme Faul, and Frédéric Humbert) has implemented in recent years.
“We are committed to promoting the generation of game changing innovations that can have a lasting impact on their markets and to bringing together talents and resources to serve supported companies,” explains Jérôme Faul, Managing Partner of Innovacom. “Our DNA is to be a “catalyst” investor, focused on creating value through support, networking and finding the best industrial partners for our startups in a context of open innovation,” he further explains.
Innovacom invests at different stages of the company’s life and currently manages several funds from seed to early stage, expansion. Its recent association with the Turenne Group has given rise to a €1 billion private equity platform under management.
*The National Seed Fund 2 is an action of the Future Investment Program launched by the French State in December 2009.
