ALGETY designs and markets high-speed communication systems for long-distance optical telecommunications networks. Created in 1999 by a team from the CNET laboratories (Orange Labs) and supported from the start by INNOVACOM, the company quickly established itself as a highly innovative player in optical network infrastructures. With Internet traffic expected to grow exponentially, the needs of telecom operators are exploding.
Employing about a hundred people, the company merged with the American manufacturer Corvis before their joint listing on the NASDAQ.
